The intersection of Double R Boulevard and Sandhill Road in South Reno was closed for eight hour as police investigated a fatal crash involving a small pickup truck and a car. The crash happened just after noon Wednesday. According to Police, the pickup truck was headed east on Sandhill Road, when it collided with a car headed north on Double R. The driver of the truck died at the scene. Their identity has not been released. The driver of the car involved was treated at the scene. Police say alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.
