(KOH) – Governor Brian Sandoval today called on legislators to give some relief to the Washoe County School District. It concerns an alleged calculation error that would create a $13 million shortfall for the district in the next biennium under SB 544. The governor said there was no error by the state, but since this bill comes so late in the budgeting process, bridge funding will give WCSD time to adjust its budget. Without the relief, the governor says, Washoe students will be hurt.
