Several fire agencies, including Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and the Pyramid Lake Volunteer Fire Department are currently battling a lightning-sparked wildfire burning east of Nixon in the Hollywood Road area. Chief Charlie Moore with TMFPD says the Hollywood Fire, burning on BLM land, quickly grew to 300 acres. Fire crews are battling a wildfire near Border Town at Cold Springs. The Evans Fire is a mile north of Exit 83. Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center reporting it broke out just before 10 p.m. Monday night. The size of the fire is being reported at 400 acres.
