The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a convicted sex offender in Meyers who  cut off his ankle monitoring device.  They’re looking for 25-year-old Alexander Paul Childs. A caller told deputies that Childs had been without his ankle device for about a month and that he wanted to leave Meyers and head to Sacramento.
There are active warrants for Childs who was convicted in 2012 for Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child under 14-year-of-age. Childs is described as 5’7″, approximately 140 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes.
