Woman Rescued From Truckee River Over The Weekend

Reno Fire Department rescue crews successfully rescued a woman who had apparently fallen or jumped into the Truckee River Sunday afternoon. The call to 9-1-1 operators reportedly explained that the woman had jumped off the Virginia Street Bridge into the river. The woman was clinging to some willow trees when found. The fire water entry team located her within minutes and rescued her using a kayak. She was taken to a local hospital, but her condition is not known at this time.
