The Washoe County School District is looking for the best location for a new Sun Valley Middle School, and apparently the best choice so far is some BLM land on the north side of the area. Trustee Dr. Angie Taylor says on of the goals is to reduce the number of Sun Vally kids who get sent out of the area to other middle schools, some of them not very close to where they live.  Dr. Taylor says when the Wildcreek High School is finished, Sun Valley kids will be able to go to school from elementary to high school with the same group of friends and neighbors. She says that’s what you want schools and communities to be about.
