Emergency regulations that will pave the way for the first legal recreational sale of marijuana have been approved by the Nevada Tax Commission. The regulations covering advertising, packaging and labeling were approved Monday. And regulations were approved permitting businesses licensed under the medical program to begin sales this Saturday July 1st. Up to 37 dual use facilities were okayed, that includes at least four Reno dispensaries. They’ll be able to sell stock on hand, but can’t restock because of a judges ruling that says only alcohol distributors can do that for the first 18 months of legal sales. The state plans to appeal that ruling, sometime in the future.
