Lake Tahoe Community College is getting a new university center. They broke ground on the project this week. Lisa Maloff, who gave the college a $5.8 million donation, will have the 7000 square foot building named after her, now known as the Lisa Maloff University Center. The center will house classrooms, two event rooms, offices and meeting areas. They’re also building an outdoor plaza addition where they plan to hold special events.
