Nevada’s communities will receive more than $4 million in federal dollars to increase access to affordable housing, improve housing conditions, and promote financial literacy among tenants and homeowners. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto says “As Nevada’s population expands, we must safeguard access to high quality, affordable housing.” Reno will get more than $943,000, the funds will be administered by the City of Reno Housing Authority, to work to provide fair, sustainable, quality housing and a stable foundation for low-income families to pursue economic opportunities, become self-sufficient and improve their quality of life.
