Crews knocked down a brush fire on Fox Avenue near Mt. Babcock Street in Stead last night. The fire, first reported around 11pm, burned about a half acre of land. There were reports of fireworks in the area, but the Reno Fire department says there was no evidence that fireworks were to blame.
