The Numbers Are In From The Keep Tahoe Blue Beach Clean Up

The numbers are in from the Keep Tahoe Blue Beach Clean up in Lake Tahoe Wednesday. Of the five beaches that were tidied up, over 1,500 pounds of garbage was collected by volunteers. Cigarette butts made up a large portion of that trash, with more than 7,700 picked up from the sand along the shoreline. They also found popped rafts, broken chairs, and even flip flops. KTB is considering installing cigarette canisters at locations around the lake, so people have a place to stick their butts.
