(KOH) – A fight between neighbors had the Sparks Police Department busy Friday night. A call came in around 8pm about the fight that also included one of the parties being bit by a dog.  One of the two women who was involved was heard screaming by police as they saw a dog had latched onto her arm.  The officers were able to get the dog to let go, but then the dog attempted to bite the officers.  One of the officers shot and killed the dog. In the end, two people were attacked by the dog and taken to a hospital for treatment. Washoe County Animal Control was on scene and handled the dog bite report and deceased animal. No arrests were made in the assault and battery case at this time. The case will be submitted to the Sparks City Attorney for any possible charges.
