Washoe County now has a new assistant County Manager following the resignation of Kevin Schiller, who’s leaving to work as assistant county manager in Clark County. Kate Thomas has taken the helm, and one of the big issues she’d like to tackle is homelessness.  Thomas served as Deputy Secretary of State from 2007 to 2011, and has worked most of her life in local government.
