Switch May Expand Headquarters to Downtown Reno

The company behind the largest data center in the United States is planning to add headquarters in Reno, according to KOLO 8. Switch, which is currently building a SUPERNAP data center location in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, plans to expand its headquarters to downtown Reno.  A reliable source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told KOLO 8 News Now the company will soon announce plans to move into the old United States Post Office building at 50 South Virginia Street. The building was recently renovated and has been looking for clients to fill the upper floors. Switch is currently headquartered in Las Vegas. That same source told KOLO 8 News Now more tech companies, likely startups, are expected to fill the remaining space in the Post Office location.
