Circus Circus Reno has chosen Anthony Ortega of Reno the first place winner at the 24-Hour Mural Marathon, July 15-16 in Downtown Reno. Ortega takes home a cash prize of $2,000 for his hand-drawn and colorful robot mural.  Rafael Blanco of Quincy, Calif. took second place and $1,000 while Marv Riley of Austin, Tex. won third place and $500.  There were seven total muralists and each mural will stay on the Virginia Street side of Circus Circus Reno until next year’s competition.
