The Republican Party of Nevada’s national committeewoman apologized for appearing to support a call for John McCain’s death. Diana Orrock, a former candidate for state assembly, praisingly retweeted an article about McCain’s military views, titled, “Please Just ‘Bleeping’ Die Already.” As a caption to the tweet, Orrock added: “Amen.” Hours later, she removed the tweet—and later apologized to McCain admitting her retweet was disrespectful. She added, “Sen. McCain is an American hero. I don’t wish anyone harm.”
