The iconic Reno arch is now glowing Red Cross red, as part of the Northern Nevada chapter’s centennial celebration. The chapter’s board of directors and volunteers flipped the switch, kicking off a series of events celebrating 100 years of service to northern Nevada. Caesars Foundation presented a check for $25,000 to sponsor centennial events scheduled over the next several months. Zanny Marsh, executive director of the Northern Nevada chapter stated, “We are delighted that Caesars Foundation is sponsoring the Red Cross Centennial of Service activities. Together, the Northern Nevada chapter and Harrah’s Reno will offer hands-only CPR classes, install free smoke alarms in neighborhoods at risk for home fires, and provide services that are crucial to meeting the needs of families and individuals across northern Nevada’s 13 counties.
