The Reno City Council has give the greenlight for the redesign and renovation of Traner Pool. The council unanimously approved up to $110,000 from the Community Development Block Grant Fund to help pay for the design process. Traner Pool has been closed this summer after vandals caused thousands of dollars in damage in March 2017. The new design would repair the damage, and renovate portions of the facility to make it ADA-compliant. The city would also like to add upgrades to the pool, including a splash park for younger children. In all, the renovations and repairs are estimated to cost about $1.3 million.
