(KOH) – A Carson City casino that closed its doors a few years back after operating for decades is at the center of debate among other casinos in the area. The now-closed Horseshoe Club, soon to be called the Silver Bullet Club, has been grandfathered in regarding a city ordinance that states new casinos must have at least 100 rooms in exchange for unrestricted gaming. The Carson City staple closed in 2014 after a run that started in the 1970’s without ever adding rooms. A number of casinos in Carson City are opposed to the “free pass” that has been given.
