Nevada Congressman Introduces Service Member Voting Protection Act

Congressman Ruben J. Kihuen introduced the Service member Voting Protection Act which ensures that service memembers, their families, and overseas residents who register to vote are automatically mailed an absentee ballot for all subsequent federal elections. Kihuen says it’s important that we do all we can to ensure they have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote. Being deployed, stationed overseas, or aboard ships at sea is hard enough on our military families. They shouldn’t have to sacrifice their right to vote just because they volunteered to defend our freedom.
