The lightning sparked Preacher fire, burning in the Pine Nut Mountain Range in Douglas County has now burned an estimated 5,386 acres. Officials say it is 20% contained.

Firefighters are also claiming 40% containment on the 961 acre Black Mountain Fire, north of Wadsworth and southeast of Nixon. The fire was reported about 2 Wednesday afternoon. That fire was sparked by lightning as well.

Mandatory evacuations have been lifted for the Ranch Fire, burning in El Dorado County. The fire, which started near Ranch Camp Road has burned nearly 200 acres and is 40 percent contained.
