Catholic Charities says there are more than 26,000 children in Washoe County who experience food insecurity. That’s why they’re asking the community to donate new lunch boxes and refillable water bottles for local students in need. They also plan to stuff the lunch boxes with snack packs for each child. The drive wraps up Saturday at Meadowwood Mall, People can bring donations to Center Court between 1 and 3 p.m. As an added bonus, anyone who donates that day will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a $50 gift card to JCPenney, and tickets to an upcoming Reno Aces game.
