The U.S. Forest Service is battling a 50-acre wildfire burning near June Lake in Mono County. The Grant Fire was first reported just after 7 o’clock last night. BLM and Cal Fire crews are also assisting with the fight. The USFS says Highway 158 is closing in both directions because the fire is burning close to the road. Officials say there are campgrounds near the fire but there are currently no evacuations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
