Washoe County School children head back to school next week on the 7th, and the district has been busy getting campuses up to speck for their return.  One of the schools that the district has been repairing under WC-1 is Verdi Elementary. Last year the classrooms were upgraded, but roof repairs were still needed. The district’s Joe Gabica says the roof hasn’t been fixed since it was built decades ago.  Some of the other upgrades the district’s completed this summer include new flooring and carpeting at McQueen High School, and a brand new air conditioning systems Gomes Elementary.
