Members of the Reno Police Department SWAT, Crisis Negotiations Team, and Consolidated Bomb Squad are training alongside other Northern Nevada first responders and Federal Agencies, as part of an exercise called Beta Burn. The training is being conducted by the Nevada National Guard’s 92nd Civilian Support Team, they specialize in Weapons of Mass Destruction, and will provide first responders valuable training on radiological dispersal devices and detection in urban areas. The training will be at different locations throughout Northern Nevada through August 4th and are closed to the public.
