A Spring Creek man was arrested over the weekend after shooting his neighbor’s dog. 21 year old Ryley Schackman originally told police that he shot the dog after it came onto his property Sunday night, but after further investigations it was determined that the dog who was shot was actually fighting at the fence with Schackman’s dog on its own property when Schackman shot it. Schackman also reportedly threatened a witness when he was being arrested, which led to several charges, including threatening or intimidating a witness, discharging a firearm in the dark, killing another’s animal, and obstructing or hindering an investigation.
