The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority says the Reno area has booked the biggest trade convention it’s ever had. The Interbike International Expo, an annual bicycling industry conference, has booked the Reno-Sparks Convention Center for five years, beginning in September 2018. This years event is being held in Las Vegas. RSCVA spokesman Ben McDonald says the conference will be responsible for about 21,000 hotel room nights over a week, with the conference itself and connected events. That’s bigger than the Reno area’s previous largest, the Safari Club International convention, which fills about 17,000 room nights.
