The Nevada State Treasurer is warning Nevadans about a scam that could be costly.
Treasurer Dan Schwartz says the website “neverclaimed.com” wants Nevadans to believe you must pay a fee to retrieve your unclaimed property, but he says that is false. His office works with everyone to return unclaimed property for free, without the help of lawyers, private investigators or private websites. Victims may have found the website through online search engines or in some cases through phone calls coming from the scammers. Nevadans can search for their unclaimed property by calling (702) 486-4140.
