A former assemblyman is launching a recall effort against State Senator Joyce Woodhouse. Stephen Silberkraus, his wife, and David Satory of Henderson filed the recall petition August 2nd. The reason for the recall? So far none has been mentioned. State Democrats have commented, Senate Leader Aaron Ford call it a “Pitiful attempt to subvert the will of the voters.” Nevada party chair William McCurdy called the recall leaders “A sad group of sore losers who can’t accept the results of the last election.” Conservative activist Chuck Muth thinks he knows the reason,commenting on Twitter, it’s because if republicans pick up her seat and Patricia Farley’s in 2018, they could regain the majority. Adding, quote “Only path possible.” Senator Woodhouse calls this an abuse of the recall process by individuals who are still bitter about the results of the last election.
