The Plumas County Sheriff’s Department has arrested 36-year-old Jeffery Cameron Schmid, of Quincy, California for allegedly starting the Minerva fire. According to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, Schmid has also has ties to other fires in that area. The Minerva fire burned 4,310 acres after it started July 29th, in Plumas County.
