Fallon’s Cantaloupe Festival Back This Weekend

Fallon’s Cantaloupe Festival & Country Fair, one of Nevada’s longest running agricultural festivals in the silver State, is back this weekend. Enjoy the famed Hearts of Gold Cantaloupe, that saw their start in the Swingle Bench area of Churchill County in 1911, with the careful experimentation of crossbreeding by a local man, O.J. Vannoy who had found the seeds that were originally developed in Benton Harbor Michigan. The festival continues today through Sunday. Hours for the festival are 9am until Midnight Friday and Saturday, and 9am until 5pm Sunday. Get more details at fallon-cantelope-festival-dot-com.
