The Nevada Department of Transportation will repave Franktown Road on the west side of Washoe Valley beginning today. The work is expected to last until early October. People will still be able to get to driveways and homes during the work. Most work will happen between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays. Construction crews will use a flagger and single lanes of traffic in alternating directions. A one-way traffic pattern, with drivers entering Franktown Road near Bowers Mansion and leaving at the south end of Washoe Valley, will be added in mid-Septembe.
