(KOH) – Truckee Meadows Fire says that a fire burned about half an acre in the area of Leon Drive and 2nd Ave in Sun Valley before being knocked down. The fire jumped several fences and caused considerable damage to vehicles, but no structures were involved. Power was knocked out to about 200 customers, and N-V Energy expects to restore service by 6:30pm. Crews initially reported having problems getting enough water from hydrants to fight the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
