The Nevada Department of Transportation is beginning work next week on Kingsbury Grade. The project starts September 11, and work takes place between 7am and 5pm, so plan some extra time if you’re traveling on the grade. Workers will be fixing eroded drainage pipes by applying a cured in place pipe liner, and they’ll also be replacing some of the drainage inlets, and adding manholes for drainage. Single lanes closures will be in effect through November, weather permitting. After that, the project will be put on hold until the weather improves next spring. The project is expected to be finished by next summer.
