Stateline residents are being urged to lock up their homes and vehicles following a number of break ins in the last couple of weeks. 13 burglaries and attempted burglaries have been reported to Douglas County Sheriff’s since August 24th, with many of the crimes occurring in driveways and on cars parked on the street. Items taken range from electronics like IPads and phone to wallets, cash and checkbooks. The best way to prevent a thief from taking your stuff is to lock your car doors, and bring your belongings inside, rather than leave them in your car.
