Two people have been taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries after they were hit by a drunk driver on I-580. The accident happened Monday around 6:30pm, when a silver Hyundai sedan was traveling northbound on I-580 near the Plumb Lane exit at a ‘high rate of speed’. The Hyundai struck a silver Toyota Tacoma from behind, causing the truck to spin, then roll off the freeway. Two people in the Tacoma were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Hyundai received minor injuries.
