This Saturday the Reno Corvette Club will celebrate 45 years of helping the community and camaraderie, at the National Automobile Museum at 10 S. Lake St., Reno. Established in 1972 with only a handful of Corvettes, the club has grown to one of the largest Corvette clubs on the West Coast, with more than 160 Corvettes and 250 members.
The celebration will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a car show in the museum’s parking lot until 10:50 a.m., followed with a presentation by professional race car driver, Andy Pilgrim. Club president, Cindy Patterson, has received a certificate from Governor Brian Sandoval in recognition of the club’s support to the local communities, as well as proclamations from the mayors of the City of Reno and City of Sparks. The car show is expecting to draw more than 45 Corvettes and is open to the public, and any Corvette owner may join the club. More information on that at renocorvettes.com.
