Should the city impose ordinances to get strip clubs and adult bookstores out of the downtown area? The city took public comments on that at a meeting lest night.

The Council voted five to two to make strip clubs leave the downtown area within five years. The Council also voted to prohibit outdoor signs outside of strip clubs within six months and strip clubs not in the right zoning cannot serve alcohol. The proposed amendment will have to go through Planning Commission and the Council before it’s enforced.
