A man was killed after being struck by a car near Gardnerville last night. The crash happened on US-395 at Industrial Court at around 8:00pm. According to investigators, the man was laying in the roadway when he was struck by the car. He was pronounced dead on scene. Officers say the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and added that it would’ve been difficult for the driver to see someone in the middle of the road, as the roadway is dark. The man who was killed has not yet been identified.
