Firefighters have stopped progress of the Woodchuck Fire burning in West Reno, and northeast of the Hunter Creek Trailhead. It’s estimated the fire has burned some 60 acres and is now 25 percent contained. There is no estimate of containment at this time. Officials with Washoe County lifted evacuation advisories at about 8:00 Monday evening. Fire officials say at it’s peak the fire threatened more than 100 structures. There has been no damage or loss to structures in the area of the fire. There is no word yet on the cause, but Truckee Meadows Chief Charlie Moore says it started at a home construction site on Woodchuck, destroying two tow-behind construction trailers on wheels, then burning downhill.
