There’s nothing like Sierra snowfall on the last day of summer, to get skiers and snowboarders excited about the upcoming season.
And last season was something special, it lasted about 6 months, and skiers enjoyed world class conditions. Mike Pierce, marketing director at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe says they are hopeful the early snow is a sign of things to come. Pierce says they are hoping to open the ski season buy the end of October, and are well prepared to make snow if needed, but he says some real precipitation is a big help.
