A man was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon. Shortly after 4:00, Reno Police, Reno Fire and REMSA were called to the 6600 block of Echo Avenue on the report of a single motorcycle crash. Officers arrived to find a 50 year old man who had crashed his motorcycle in a parking lot. He was declared dead at the location. An initial investigation indicates the man was riding recklessly in the parking lot and lost control of his motorcycle. Investigators say speed appears to be a factor in the collision, but neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected as factors. The name of the motorcyclist is being withheld until his family members have been notified.
