Some Republican Backed Bills in Limbo Following Vegas Massacre

Some republican backed bills are in limbo after the mass shooting in Las Vegas. House leaders were moving a bill to ease regulations on gun silencers, and to let those with concealed weapons permits to take their concealed weapons to other states. Sponsor, congressman Jeff Duncan of South Carolina, said the bill is needed to protect hunters from damage to their hearing, but democrats say the bill would allow more armor piercing ammunition, known as “Cop killer” bullets. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi at least, “If you can hear a gunshot, you can run away.” She’s asking House Speaker Paul Ryan to create a select committee on gun violence.
