Don Carano, the founder of Reno’s Eldorado Resort Casino, has died. He was 85, restaurateur, husband, father and grandfather, according to Eldorado Resorts Inc. His businesses included Eldorado Resorts, Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery, and the McDonald Carano law firm. He was also known as a longtime supporter of philanthropic endeavors in Reno and his wine country home in Geyserville, Alexander Valley, California. Carano leaves a legacy of 19 properties in ten states and more than 14,000 employees.
