Carson City Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a possible child luring incident Monday in south Carson City. About 11:30 a.m. a young girl was walking near Koontz Lane and Hillview Drive when a man pulled up in a copper-colored Ford Ranger pickup that was rusted and had chipped paint. The man asked her to help him find a missing dog. When she declined, the man said if she did not help find the dog, it could get hurt. She used her cellular telephone to pretend to place a call, and the man then drove north on Saliman Road past Seeliger Elementary School. The sheriff’s office described the man as white, about 40 years old to 50 years old with dark hair pulled back in a ponytail.
