Reno Police say a bicyclist died Thursday evening at about 6:00 after being hit by a car on Plumb Lane just west of Kietzke Lane. They believe the bicyclist was crossing the street in the Orange Lane area and was hit by a westbound Lexus driven by a 76-year-old driver whose vision apparently was restricted by the setting sun. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident. The driver is cooperating with police. Plumb Lane was closed for several hours while police conducted an investigation.
