A fire burning southwest of Lake Tahoe in the El Dorado National Forest has reached 465 acres. The Table Fire is 65 percent contained and no structures are threatened. Lightning started the fire on Sept. 8 in a remote area and the Forest Service allowed it to continue to burn as part of a natural prescribed burn to remove excess vegetation. Winds whipped up the flames last week and the fire started to grow. There are 172 fire personnel assigned to the fire.
