Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s spokesman Brian Kulpin says a military plane with some unspecified mechanical issues has landed safely. Emerson Marcus with the Nevada National Guard says the C-130 had taken off from the airport this morning. (Monday October 16) A red light came on in the cockpit, signaling an issue. The crew then notified Reno-Tahoe International Airport that they needed to make an emergency landing. The crew was from Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama and was here for training at the Advanced Mountain Airlift Tactics School. Crews are looking into what the issue was that prompted the emergency landing.
