Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Looking For Person of Interest in Murder Investigation

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man identified as a person of interest in the killing of a man at the Hard Rock Hotel at Lake Tahoe. Detectives say their information indicates 44-year-old Jose Rodriguez DeJesus Quezada has recently been traveling the northern Nevada area, specifically the Reno/Carson/Tahoe/Lyon County area. Quezada is known to frequent areas surrounding homeless shelters, truck stops and similar type areas, and is known to associate with the transgender community. Quezada should be considered armed and dangerous. The investigation is into the death of 56-year-old Kevin Edwards, found dead after detectives responded to reports of a death October 3rd at the Hard Rock Hotel in Stateline.
