Reno Police are searching for a group of men who beat and robbed a man on Lake Street near the RTC 4th Street Station. Police say the robbery happened around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday. The man was walking down the street when he was approached by two or three men. Police say the men beat him and stole his money. The victim was armed with a knife at the time of the attack, and stabbed at least one of the robbers in self defense. After the stabbing, the robbers fled in a dark car.  The victim was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. There are no descriptions of the robbers at this time. Police are working to gather surveillance video from nearby businesses. They are also asking hospitals to be on the lookout for anyone who comes in seeking treatment for anything resembling a stab wound.
